I create modern art – modern art does not mean to paint something neat, a little abstract and adapt color compositions to match for your living room, your bedroom or the kitchen.
I do arts, because I have to. This is my true profession.

Direct sales are a better deal
You can buy my art paintings and my other artwork directly here: if you contact me you get a better price than in a gallery. Why?
Usually gallery and artist share the revenue. The gallery pays for the exhibit, invitations, advertisements, drinks and one transport. The artist pays all material and produces the art work. If you buy directly, you pay half the official price plus packaging and transport.
Imagine your new home
We can help if you are uncertain whether a painting works for you. Sometimes courage or paint on your wall are missing to make the pictures look great.
Colors do not have to match exactly, in contrary it is the difference in colors, size and sujet which creates tension.
Rules for hanging a painting in a living room, a bed room or in the kitchen are different from complex arrangements in museums. For instance, it is not required to see the whole art work at once. Aura and presence of a work bring the whole painting to the front even if it is partially hidden.
Value makes up for costs
The costs of modern paintings are easy to calculate if you buy directly from the artist. Typically, the following formula is used:
(Width + Height) * Factor = Costs in US-Dollars including taxes
My factor outside the Euro-region equals 15 US-Dollars a Centimeter or 47 US-Dollars an inch.

Availability, Frames and Signature
I do not maintain the availability of my oil paintings on the website. Many are available, other are sold. For instance, the paintings “Hillary Step”, “Second Step” or “Green Boot Cave” are not in my property any more!
Modern paintings do not require a classical frame – good oil paintings attract attention even if partially hidden.
Also, my work is mostly signed on the backside – there is no need for a brand name on the front of a painting if the painting style is a brand in itself.
Materials used
Oil paintings on canvas
My oil paintings are done in a classical manner using the best resources:
As the name suggest, oil color consist of color pigments and oil – mostly linseed oil. The type and the origin of oils are a science. Linseed oil can be gained, treated, weakened and accelerated, made matt or bright by adding resin in certain ways.
Pigments determine the look of a painting when dried. I use the best none hazardous pigments available. Many great pigments are not used any more because they are hazardous for health.
Today, the surface of oil paintings mostly is not harmonious, but relief-like which makes them look different depending on the view point. This makes oil paintings stand out and superior to any other painting or photography.
The material dries in a different manner than water and sometime needs years to get completely dry. Therefore my pictures are shipped only if dried sufficiently and if packaged in a way that no damage can occur.
To mount canvas correctly to a frame is not trivial neither. For this reason, I have made some videos showing this process.
Photographs
My photographs are done with a good equipment and they are printed on good papers. The methods I use are widely accepted, give a splendid appearance and the are durable.
I am not using the best material available, since this would cost a fortune for me and for you.
