Two untitled portraits of climbers on Mount Everest. Part of “Into thin Air”. In 2006 and 2007 a discovery channel documentation was aired which showed climbers up their way to the Mount Everest. The mountaineers shown here were part of the expeditions. The expeditions were let by Russel Brice, the most renown Mt Everest mountain

These canvases are driven by the painting process and the preoccupation with painting materials. The surroundings are outdoors and indoors which forced attention to painting the shadows of the persons. The first pictures that show human beings and their encounters result from the years 2003 to 2005. The ambient architecture still was an influential subject.
