Comments

WordPress offers the option to comment articles on the website. If you comment, we are asking for you e-mail address in order to be able to answer and to avoid comment spam. This data will not be published, and to comment does not mean you will receive a newsletter.

Newsletter

I send a newsletter rarely. In 2017 I did not send any newsletter.

To do use, I use Mailchimp, which stores e-mail addresses. This e-mail addresses have been entered either on your verbal consent or by the “Double Opt-In” process, which I use since years. This means after subscribing the newsletter, you receive an e-mail to confirm the subscription.

The newsletter form at the bottom of this home page and every newsletter send include an option to unsubscribe.

Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics. Google has released this privacy statement.

You can deactivate Google Analytics using this plugin.

In order to legally continue to use the system, IP-addresses have to be anonymized.

All in One SEO

This WordPress plugin facilitates writing articles in a way Google likes in order achieve a better search engine listing.

Also “All in One SEO” connects to Google Analytics and it anonymizes IP-Addresses.

Akismet

“Akismet” is a plugin to identify spam-comments. To do so possibly your e-mail is send to the US. to verify whether you wrote spam comments earlier.

Without this systems I could not allow comments because I get close to thousand spam comments each month.

Mashshare

I also use the Plugin “Mashshare” to show how popular a post is (Facebook, Twitter, Newsletter). On top of each article bottons are shown to share a post. If you do so information about the article and possible about you will be forwarded to Mashshare.

Facebook

This system does not offer any function to like articles. See there the privacy policy of Facebook.

You can share an article with the plugin Mashshare.

Not used any more.
