Weather, heavy usage or simply age can change surfaces: iron corrodes, paint bleaches or peels. Great colors and forms arise that human beings cannot produce, at least not quickly. Machines turn into pictures.
I only say, art is an illusion.
Marcel Duchamp
However, these patterns have to be found: The set of abstract photography has been shot on German junkyards located in harbors from 1995 through 2003. Photographed with large distance or with macro lenses. I did one photo safari after the other, always hunting the best loot.
All photographs have been printed on transparencies and hanged-up with a certain distance to the walls in order to give them a third dimension. Light has a second chance to play with rust and paint and create a play of colors!

These abstract pictures work well as wall art in the living room, the hall or the kitchen. And they look like a painting although they are not.
