The Green Boot Cave is a small cave close to the summit of Mount Everest. Many climbers pass it on their way up the normal north route. It is named after the boots of Tsewang Paljor still lying there.

Eight of 754.301 – Around documenta XII
This series shows eight visitors of documenta XII – eight of 754.301. This sequel to “Around Public Places” is another interpretation of “public places”. The visual content has been reduced to foster the inner meaning of the paintings and the human beings selected. While exhibiting, people are pit into relation to all visitors of document XII by showing according photographs.
The work is large – people are shown in life-size, which makes it about 12 meters wide and 1,3 meters tall. It is hard to imagine online – please visit the details further down.
The works are produced 2008 and 2009 in oil, tempera and acryl on canvas.

Around Public Places
Jürgen H. Stäudtner situates very different human beings in urban contexts, which leaves spectators unclear about whether they have an apparent, an accidental or a concrete relation to each other. The mostly large-sized paintings use neutral grey backgrounds, which hinder any association with places one might know.
The pentaptych of the main work of the series “Around Public Places” shows persons in groups. These groups seam to build a reference on the relation of the individuals or the relation of the groups to each other. Its interpretation leads to an irritating meshwork of interpretation attempts.
Created in 2007 with oil and tempera on canvas.
