Top of the World
This series shows a mountain by describing its coldness, steepness, scantiness – its extremes by other means. The heavy exposure the mountain experiences in the public leads to a challenging tourism for both – nature and people.
Almost unreal personal relations or “none-relations” become apparent with intensive studies of the subject.

Eight of 754.301 – Around documenta XII
This series shows eight visitors of documenta XII – eight of 754.301. This sequel to “Around Public Places” is another interpretation of “public places”. The visual content has been reduced to foster the inner meaning of the paintings and the human beings selected. While exhibiting, people are pit into relation to all visitors of document XII by showing according photographs.
The work is large – people are shown in life-size, which makes it about 12 meters wide and 1,3 meters tall. It is hard to imagine online – please visit the details further down.
The works are produced 2008 and 2009 in oil, tempera and acryl on canvas.

Production
Around 3000 Fotos have been made on documenta XII. Visitors came or left exhibition places, or they moved from one place to the other. Around 300 Fotos have been selected and are shown during exhibitions to demonstrate the versatility and the diversity of the spectators.
Eight Visitors have been selected and have been painted without alineation. Backgrounds have ben isolated by using grey shades and shadows matching the circumstances.

Franconia
Humans have not been the main subject of this work, but a region of Germany called Franconia. The heritage of Franconia as legacy of the Francanion Empire is projected onto reality.
Created in 2007 with oil and tempera on canvas.
All pictures of the series:
Franken, as it is called in German, is the rest of the Franconian Empire in Germany. Charlemagne foundet it, and his sons divided it by three. Over the centuries the name stayed and names a strong economy combined with an impressing cultural heritage.
Around Public Places
Jürgen H. Stäudtner situates very different human beings in urban contexts, which leaves spectators unclear about whether they have an apparent, an accidental or a concrete relation to each other. The mostly large-sized paintings use neutral grey backgrounds, which hinder any association with places one might know.
The pentaptych of the main work of the series “Around Public Places” shows persons in groups. These groups seam to build a reference on the relation of the individuals or the relation of the groups to each other. Its interpretation leads to an irritating meshwork of interpretation attempts.
Created in 2007 with oil and tempera on canvas.
All pictures of the series:
The communication which is betoken between individuals or groups is lost in time and space immediately, since the references between them do not or apparently not exist.
The canvases bear distance, closeness, emotion, indifference, cooperations and conflicts. There is no denouement, however countless stories with an open end.
Around Places
The paintings of Around Places are in tie with the context of the series CityScapes, however they already show a higher degree of abstraction without being staged.
Created in 2006 with oil and tempera on canvas.
All pictures of the series:
A lot of these canvases are driven by the painting process or the preoccupation with painting materials. The surroundings are outdoors and indoors which forced attention to painting the shadows of the persons.
Around Cologne Cathedral
Medium format photographs characterize the places around the cathedral in Cologne by focusing on the people on it. The intent is to show the public place although architecture is made redundant – the human beings selected and their relation to each other are used instead.
Produced in 2005 with Mamiya 6*9 and inkjet on paper.

CityScapes
The first pictures that show human beings and their encounters result from the years 2003 to 2005. The ambient architecture still was an influential subject. The protagonists are not shown in close-up, but the context is put in the foreground. Created with oil and tempera on canvas.
